How Our Human Resources Service Works

Personnel Managers or HR Managers, IT Security Managers or Professional Standards Managers are able to use HRProACT in different ways.

  1. To provide a 'covert' service. This would allow IT Security Managers, Professional Standards Managers, HR Managers/Personnel Managers to gather intelligence on various members of staff in the knowledge that the service provided would be confidential. Disklabs would go into a workplace 'out-of-hours' and forensically 'image' the hard disk drives of computers of specific users. This information would be analysed and a report would be produced.

  2. To provide an 'overt' service. This would allow IT Security Managers, Personnel Managers/HR Managers and Professional Standards Managers to effectively change the culture of a company, by escorting Disklabs Forensics Analysts to selected staff, where their computer hard drives would be forensically 'imaged'. This 'overt' operation will change the attitude of staff, as they will know that unofficial computer usage will no longer be tolerated.

Disklabs Recommend

  1. Disklabs are contracted to provide HRProACT in a covert role.

  2. Disklabs introduce our HR Consultants who advise from experience on how to implement this service, and how to ensure that maximum acceptance prevails.

  3. Disklabs HR Consultants will advise that a period of amnesty is given to ensure that staff have an opportunity to 'clean up' their respective computers. This is generally one month.

  4. Disklabs then advise that the original computers analysed under the covert inspection should be inspected again. This serves the purpose of realising how much time is now being saved by the organisation, (this is done be finding out how much original time was being 'wasted', and then comparing that with the amount of time lost AFTER HRProACT has been implemented.

  5. On a monthly basis, Disklabs Forensic Analysts will visit the relevant sites and continue with the service. This is done to enforce the Acceptable Usage Policy of the company and to reinforce that the misuse of computers will not be tolerated.
